Since the introduction of the Echo to Eureka in patch 5.1, it became possible to much more easily level solo in Eureka than previously. Of course, Eureka itself is community-minded content, but feel free to use this information if you ever need to level solo.

This page continues from the Solo Leveling in Anemos page.

Eureka leveling relies on some basic knowledge you should familiarise yourself with from Solo leveling guide page, while the page you're currently on aims to give you some specific tips on what you can do to level in Pagos.

For general information about Pagos NPCs and relic progression, please check the Pagos page.

General Guidelines

  • Always keep up your food buff, Potion of Harmony, and Elemental buff. Use Eurekan potions on cooldown for healing.
  • Look around the bottom of the map to find Pagos elemental (fairy) if possible.
  • SOUND AGGRO is now a thing in Eureka! Be careful of sleeping dragons, toggle walk (walk slowly) close to them to avoid waking them up. Expect them in pretty much all of the narrow areas of the map, evil as they are.
  • Teleports unlock at levels 21, 23 and 25 - so attune as soon as you can, especially to first two as they will be very useful in navigating the map.
  • Monsters from now on can adapt/mutate, and will give more experience. Focus on grinding enemies that can adapt or mutate first, keep fates to higher levels.

Important steps

  • Level 21: Attune to Vlondette's Retreat Aetheryte (23,27).
  • Level 23: Attune to Geothermal Studies Aetheryte (7,14). (You will have to go to the upper left part of the map for this, when you get close to dragons move slowly, don't touch them and they will not wake up)
  • Level 25: Attune to Gravitational Studies Aetheryte (28,15). (You will have to go to the upper right part of the map for this, when you get close to dragons move slowly, don't touch them and they will not wake up)
  • Level 25: If you're working on your relic weapon, do the blue quest from Gerolt, this will give you access to Light. To have this quest available, you need to have Anemos relic step finished and the first few questions in Pagos.
  • Level 35: Finish your weapon if you plan to work on Eurekan gear in Pyros.

Some additional notes about the quests:

  • level 21: It's up on the hill.
  • level 25: It's on the bottom part of the map, no need to go up.
  • level 29: You need to go up (Geothermal Studies) and drop down the cliff carefully, to land on a ledge from above.
  • level 35: Ameretats (Morbols) have sound agro, so toggle walk to safely get past them. Griffins around the quest have true sight aggro, so carefully walk behind them and don't rely on stealth actions because true sight can see through them.

Leveling logic in Eureka Pagos

Eureka leveling relies on some basic knowledge you should familiarise yourself with from Solo leveling guide page, while the page you're currently on aims to give you some specific tips on what you can do to level in Pagos.

In early levels, focus enemies 1-2 levels higher (if solo) or 3-6 higher (if in group) and do FATEs if and only if they are around your level and close to you.

New enemy mechanics in Pagos and later zones:

Mutation: enemy changes its model, often changes elements and all of its skills. It gives very high experience compared to non-mutated enemies.

Adaptation: enemy retains its model, skills and element, but changes its size and starts hitting harder. Gives high experience compared to non-adapted enemies.

Use the bestiary to decide which enemies to focus.

FATE GRINDING

Overall, experience from FATEs in Pagos is good, but chaining mutated/adapted mobs is strictly better than joining a FATE train experience-wise. Joining FATEs is only beneficial if they are around your level, don't even bother trying to get to highest level FATEs until you have all of the teleports unlocked. You will not get any rewards from a FATE if it is more than 1 level above you.

Pagos Crystal Grinding

For finishing a Pagos weapon, you'll need, all together:

  • 31 frosted protean crystals (light farming, remember to empty your kettle here and there)
  • 500 pagos crystals (drop from fates)
  • 5 Louhi ice (cost 50 pagos crystals each or get 2 per gold rating in a Louhi fate, lvl 34-35)

You should not have trouble with frosted crystals if you've unlocked kettle at lvl 25. For additional informaton about kettle and Louhi boss, check info below.

Light Exchange

In order to turn your light from "vitiated aether" to Frosted Protean Crystals, you need to visit the forge. To get to the forge, you need to go to the aetheryte Geothermal Studies (can be attuned at level 23), and jump down on a ledge from the marked position:

Example of how 1 light looks like in the kettle. Kettle can hold maximum of 9 lights

Proceed carefully, as there will be a sleeping dragon on that ledge before the forge, so toggle walk and be careful not to wake him up. Kettle can hold maximum 9 light, so don't forget to visit the forge before you cap to exchange light into frosted protean crystals.

Unlocking the light kettle

You must have an Anemos weapon finished to get a lvl 25 blue quest from Gerolt in Pagos. Finish the quest to unlock the kettle which will then collect light randomly as you kill higher level enemies and from FATEs at a fixed rate. You'll need 31 light/Frosted Protean Crystals for one Pagos weapon. Finishing Pagos weapon is mandatory if you want to make relic gear later in Pyros. So, if you're gear hunting, make sure to make this weapon, even if you don't care about the relic.

Methods for Light Farming

You can use this page to figure out most efficient ways to farm light for your level.

EXTRA NOTE ON BROTHERS AND HOLY COW FATES

Brothers will attempt to cast an ability called Blood Brother which can be interrupted, regardless of if this is interrupted or not the experience and light gain from the notorious monster will be the same. The same process applies for the mutation cast of Holy Cow (Apotheosis), while normal mobs in instance which mutate or adapt give more experience, the rewards from Notorious Monsters are fixed and will be the same regardless of if you let the mutations occur or not.

Louhi NM

Just like Pazuzu in Anemos, Louhi is level 40 special boss fate which drops the item's needed to progress the Pagos Relics to their final stage, Louhi Ice. Each Louhi kill will drop two Louhi Ice if you are elemental level 34 or higher and get gold rating. You can drop down to the ledge from X:32 Y:20 to get to Louhi cave. Watch out for the sleeping dragon to avoid taking aggro.

Boss abilities

  • Cold kick: Frontal cleave tankbuster
  • Windlash: Raidwide damage. Get inside his hitbox or go far out to avoid getting a vulnerability stack.
  • Dextral icecleave: Hits right side (stay left or far)
  • Sinistral icecleave: Hits left side (stay right or far)
  • Snowstorm: AOE under her. Move away (also summons 3 ice crystals that will do line aoes so avoid that)
  • Force of Will: Raidwide damage + knockback. She summons several adds that need to be tanked and killed.
  • Raging strikes: frontal cleave, short range but wider than Cold Kick
  • Supercool: Self-buff that makes her do more damage and take more damage as well
  • Snowbloom: frontal cleave, longer range, will freeze you to place if hit.

Adds:

  • Stout: Casts Raging strikes that needs to be stunned every 30 seconds or it wipes the group
  • One of the adds applies poison to random targets
  • Last of the adds targets random people with AoE. Adds can be dealt with even if you reset Louhi, after which they won't spawn again

How to spawn Louhi

Louhi can spawn at any given time, however the mobs required to spawn Louhi are Ashkin and only appear during night time (18:00 ET - 06:00 ET).
