Eureka Pagos is the second out of the four Eureka instances. The main weather affinity of the instance is Ice and the zone boss to get the last material for the weapon from is Louhi.
Once Elemental level 35 is reached, you can continue your journey to Eureka Pyros.
Getting Started
Once the story of Eureka Anemos has been completed, you will get the quest And We Shall Call It Pagos which leads you back to Rodney at Pier #1 in Kugane. Here you will unlock the next step of the Eureka Journey: Eureka Pagos.
When entering Eureka Pagos via Rodney, you will find yourself in the main encampment of this zone called Icepoint. Once again, various NPCs can be found here, as well as the main Aetheryte.
Furthermore Eureka Pagos introduces a new mechanic needed for the future weapon upgrades: Light or Vitiated Aether. Upon reaching level 25, Gerolt will offer a special quest, marked with a blue questsymbol. This quest will only be available if you have finished an Anemos Weapon.
In addition to that, there is a second new mechanic, regarding the monsters inhabiting Eureka Pagos. When certain weather and time conditions are met, some of the mobs might mutate (change their form and might take on a new element) or adapt (grow big and deal more damage and have more health). This can be used to level up faster, since these monsters will reward more EXP or to farm Cold Warped Lockboxes, which can only drop from mutated enemies.
Traveling across Pagos
Since Patch 5.1 you are able to ride mounts in Eureka from the start, which makes traversing the lands a lot easier.
Upon reaching level 21, you will be able to attune to the Aetheryte on the eastern side of Pagos, called Vlondette's Retreat. At level 23 the northwestern Aetheryte Geothermal Studies will become available and at level 25 the northeastern Aetheryte Gravitational Studies completes all connections.
Just as in Anemos, Aetherytes can be used to travel between them, but they cannot be ported to via map or Teleport-Menu. However, using Return will bring you back to Icepoint.
When wandering through the lands of Eureka Pagos, you might encounter Sleeping Dragons or Frozen Void Dragons. In order to avoid fighting them or waking them up, you can swap from normal running to walking and just walk past them. This also works on a mount. Please note, that when you drop off a cliff and you land next to a dragon and you dont have walking activated, the dragon will wake up and most likely kill you due to your low health from the drop.
For the layout of Pagos its characteristic, that there are alot of ledges and cliffs, where you are required to jump off and land on platforms, in order to reach certain locations and fates. When you are not familar with the layout of Pagos, it might be a good idea to consult a map first, to check which drop will lead you to the correct spot, rather than jumping and having to run the whole way back, because you ended up at the wrong spot. You also want to check, if there are Frozen Void Dragons below you, when jumping, so you can activate walking and avoid them waking up and chasing you.

Light
Upon reaching level 25 and having a finished Anemos Weapon, Gerolt will offer a quest, which will reward you with a kettle to collect so called Light in the instance. Underneath your Duty Information, where you can see how long your timer lasts, you now can find a bar, representative for how much Light you have already collected. On the right side you can see an example, how this might look.
Light is awarded at a fixed rate as fate rewards or randomly from enemies. You have a higher change of getting light from enemies the more EXP you get, which means targetting mobs of a higher level than you and stacking experience buffs is recommended, e.g. Pagos Elemental (Fairy Buff) and Potion of Harmony.
The kettle can hold a maximum of 9 Light at a time. You can see a small number above your light bar, which indicates how much Light is currently accumulated in the kettle. Once the kettle reaches 9 Light, you will not be able to collect any more. In order to empty your kettle and to turn the Light into Frosted Protean Crystals you want to visit the forge, which is located at Test Cavern 1-P 6.1-21.4. The easiest way to go there is teleporting to Geothermal Studies, then heading south and taking the west drop down the ledge. While you make your way along the edge of the cliff you dropped onto, you want to be careful and use walking rather than running in order to avoid the Frozen Void Dragon guarding the cave.
When you are inside the cave, simply interact with the forge and all your collected Light will be exchanged for Froste Protean Crystals and you can continue collecting more Light.
For the most efficient way of farming light, see this page.
Fates
All Fates in the Eureka Instances are Notorious Monsters (NM). Usually those fates are spawned by defeating a specific enemy or enemy type and if at least 120 minutes have passed since the Fate was last active. Some Fates have specific conditions which have to be met in order to be spawned, or the monsters which are needed to spawn the fate might have conditions as well. A map of all Fates in Eureka Pagos can be found to the right side of this text.
The completion of Fates in Eureka Pagos will reward the player with Elemental EXP, Vitiated Aether (Light), Pagos Lockboxes and Pagos Crystals. Some Fates have added special drops, like minions or equipment.
To keep track of the instance and the Fates within, it is recommended to use a so called Tracker. Not only does it make the coordination of an instance easier but it will also help to check quickly, which Fates can be spawned, which ones will soon be spawnable and which conditions will be met soon.

Bunny Fates
A special kind of Fate added from Pagos onwards are so called Bunny Fates. These Fates always involve saving Happy Bunnies from imminent danger. While fighting the Fate, the bunnies will help the player in one way or another, by healing them or spawning AOEs which will give a damage buff. Once the Fate is defeated and a Gold Rating is achieved, the player will have a bunny following them, which will eventually lead them to a treasure, when interacted with a Lucky Carrot. When the Carrot is used, you will receive a prompt, which wants you to move into a specific direction and once reached the location, a treasure will be unveiled. These treasures can have minions or mounts in them, along with some other things.
Other than Notorious Monsters, these Fates do not have to be spawned by killing enemies. The Fate will spawn after a set timer once all Bunny Treasures from the previous Fate have either been found or the bunnies have been discarded or killed.

Zone boss: Louhi
The last notorious monster of the instance is Louhi, which will drop Louhi's Ice for upgrading the Weapons to the Elemental Weapon. In order to do the upgrade you need 5 Ice in total, which can either be dropped by the Fate or bought for 50 Pagos Crystals. In order to get those drops from the Fate, you have to have an elemental level of 34 or higher, otherwise you wont get the drop.
Louhi needs to be prepped during night, because he requires Val Corpses to be killed. He himself can spawn at any time.
Abilities
- Cold Kick: Frontal cleave Tankbuster
- Windlash: Raidwide damage
- Dextral Icecleave: hits his right side (stay left or far away)
- Sinistral Icecleave: hits his left side (stay right or far away)

- Force of will: Raidwide damage and spawns several adds, which need to be tanked and killed
- Raging Strikes: Frontal cleave, short range but wider than cold kick
- Supercool: Self buff that makes him do more damage and take more damage

- Adds can be dealt with even after reset of Louhi, he will not spawn them again.
Pagos Loot Table
Just like Anemos, FATEs(NM) will reward the player with lockboxes called Pagos Lockboxes. However, starting from Pagos, mobs will begin to mutate. These mutated mobs have a chance to drop so called Cold-warped Lockbox, which have additional goodies aside from normal lockboxes. There will also be FATEs called Bunny Fates, which will reward the player with different chests. Bunny Lockboxes are found as buried treasure, lead to by the bunny from the bunny fate.
