What is the Baldesion Arsenal?

The Baldesion Arsenal (BA) is a 56-man combat instance that takes place inside Hydatos. It is an unforgiving place, where raising is limited, and every hit could be fatal. It scales down to 24 players, so it's possible to do with less than 56 players.

6.x patch state of BA: Despite not having echo added to this date, BA is significantly easier compared to how it was in 4.x and 5.x patches, due to various job changes and gear differences. It's still punishing in terms of raising, but DPS checks are significantly easier to achieve.

Entrance into the Baldesion Arsenal

Entrance into the Baldesion Arsenal can happen after getting the buff from Ovni fate (buff called Aetherial Stabilisation). To get the buff, you need to have Hydatos questline finished, be elemental level 60 and get the gold rating from the FATE. After Ovni is defeated, portals will spawn on the map.

  • BLUE PORTALS: 3 minutes after Ovni's death, 48 blue portals will spawn around pre-determined positions on the map. These cannot be entered without having an Aetherial Stabilizer in your inventory. Usually, it's NOT recommended to use the stabilizers to enter in most situations, so don't bother making one.
  • RED PORTALS: 3 minutes after that, the blue portals will disappear, and red, stabilised portals will appear in the same predetermined positions. These do not require an Aetherial Stabiliser, and these are usually used for groups to enter BA for free.

Later, when the Support fate is spawned and killed, the same process will happen, but with only 8 portals instead, joining the last group to the main expedition force, and bringing the total number of people to 56.

For runs with the Eurekan Academy, we do not use Aetherial Stabilizers to enter blue portals unless the run itself dictates that we do. For Support portals, ask the party lead for Support if it's okay to use an Aetherial Stabilizer, and go from there.

Enemies Encountered in the Arsenal

Before starting, there are no positionals inside The Baldesion Arsenal, so you can safely ignore positional requirements for your combos.

Arsenal Demon Wall

Earth element. It only has auto attacks, basically a meat shield. Main tank of the run can use these mobs to build their Wisdom of the Indomitable stacks by pairing it with Reflect L. For more info see the main tank guide.

Arsenal Viking

Ice element. They do physical auto attacks. They will target a random player on their aggro table, running to them and doing a telegraphed conal cleave. Avoid it. These mobs are encountered in their associated elemental rooms.

Arsenal Magus

Earth element. They do magical attacks. They will cast random targeted ground AOE's under players. Avoid the AOE's. These mobs are encountered throughout the hallways, and their associated elemental rooms.

Arsenal Poroggo

Water element. Physical auto attacks. It does Toy Hammer, a long-cast Tankbuster that will delete the tank. It also has a point blank AOE.

Arsenal Byblos

Earth element. Physical attacks. It does a frontal cleave and a tail swipe. These mobs should be tanked pointed to the wall, while party stays on the side. It will turn to a random direction and cast Magic Hammer, a ground targeted AOE. This should be stunned, but you should try to avoid it just in case. More importantly, even if it turns to your direction, do not try to adjust to side of these mobs, stay wherever you are as it will turn to main tank and do a frontal cleave.

Arsenal Geshunpest

Fire element. Physical attacks. These are patrol mobs. As an ashkin, these mobs aggro on players with low health. They also do a telegraphed conal AOE on a random player. Avoid it.

Arsenal Sprite

Ice element. Magical attacks. These are patrol mobs. As a sprite, they will aggro on casts, so avoid casting near them. They will cast Banish III that hits multiple people at random. It must be interrupted.

Arsenal Centaur

Lightning element. Physical attacks. Immediately after being pulled, they will cast Berserk, which will give a damage up buff to the mob that will delete the tank. Berserk should be interrupted with actions such as Sleep(casters) and Repose(healers). After Berserk, they will cast Rear, a point blank AOE. Avoid it.

Arsenal Calcabrina

Ice element. Physical attacks. These are patrol mobs. They have a massive untelegraphed conal AOE called Terrifying Glance. These mobs needs to be tanked directed away from the party.

Arsenal Fan

Wind element. Physical attacks. They cast Tight Tornado, a line AOE. Avoid it.

Arsenal Scribe

Wind element. Physical attacks. They cast Libra, a stacking vulnerability debuff. Interrupt it.

Arsenal Eye

Wind element. Physical attacks. They do a conal AOE, avoid it.

Arsenal Bibliotaph

Earth element. Physical attacks. They will either do a point blank or donut AOE.

Arsenal Logos

Lightning element. Physical attacks. They will aggro on low health players and if any players touch them.

Arsenal Calca

Water element. Physical attacks. These mobs will also do a big conal AOE in front of them. Be either very close to them or very far out to avoid the AOE easily. These mobs are encountered in their associated elemental rooms.

Arsenal Brina

Fire element. Physical attacks. They will do a donut AOE around themselves. Either be in melee range or far out. These mobs are encountered in their associated elemental rooms.

Arsenal Vodoriga

Lightning element. Physical attacks. These mobs will cast Terror Eye, a ground targeted AOE. Avoid it. These mobs are encountered in their associated elemental rooms.

Arsenal Skatene

Wind element. Physical attacks. They cast Chirp, a ground targeted AOE that will sleep the players inside it. Avoid it. These mobs are encountered in their associated elemental rooms.

Arsenal Tome

Ice element. These mobs won't aggro if you toggle walk around them. They cast Silence, which needs to be interrupted.

Arsenal Strix

Ice element. Physical attacks. They cast On the Properties of Darkness, which will remove a random buff from a player(including Spirit of the Remembered). It needs to be stunned.
